Read all about the Thailand Fashion Industry and their up-and-coming Designers
Within Thailand the fashion industry is considered to be relatively young when you compare it to European fashion houses. This is down to the fact Thailand’s first brands only generally appeared about 25 years ago. This however puts them at quite an advantage for the fact the ranges that they are bringing out are fresh, new and exciting. It gives them a chance to really establish themselves within the fashion world, something that has already been put in motion. Since the arrival on the fashion scene, Thailand’s industry has grown, covering women’s, men’s and children’s clothing lines, which are displayed in some of the best stores Bangkok has to offer.Behind the clothing lines that are being recognized worldwide are some of the best new talent the fashion world is seeing right now. For example recently featured in a documentary video of Vogue was the fashion designer by the name of Thakoon Panichgul, who is a 34 year old Thailand born designer, who is now selling his collections in America. He represents just one of a growing number of young Asian designers who are taking America and the world by storm. Another example is 26 year old Jason Wu, who found fame after the First Lady wore his dress to Inaugural Night balls.
The fashion world stands as a highly competitive industry on a worldwide scale and out of everyone involved in this Thailand stands out for a number of reasons, which includes its stylish and practical designs. Thailand also stands out due to its combined employment of state-of-the-art technology and its master craftsmanship for its production. Basically where the Thailand fashion industry is concerned, the designers and everyone involved within it are led by attention to detail. This is a highly important part of it as it demonstrates that the industry is customer focused and you know you are getting a service where everything is addressed, which is not something that can be found in this much detail anywhere else.
One of the many reasons that so much attention to detail is paid where the Thailand fashion industry is concerned is thanks to the designers that are involved within it. An example of such designer is Chanita Preechawitayakul Senada. In 2008 she was established as a super designer due to her enthusiastic and energetic approach to fashion. Chanita Preechawitayakul Senada’s latest collection is based around street wear and was launched under the title ‘Black Label.’ Chanita Preechawitayakul Senada is in a unique group with a selection of other designers such as Phisit Jongnarangsin, co-founder of the Tube Gallery. Some of his most impressive and helpful work for Thailand’s fashion industry includes Bangkok Fashion Week 2006 and the 25th Year Anniversary of Praew Fashion Magazine.
It is designers such as the above that are helping push the Thailand fashion industry well and truly into the main stream, more Thai designers are getting recognized for their skills and are now becoming some of the most sought after in the world. Their fashion industry may be young but what it lacks in age it more than makes up for in quality, style and fashion savvy designers.
